Fierce Nails: Nail Rings

Nail rings have been on the scene for a little while now. They are starting to become more of a trend. This unique 3-D design fits over the nail and is thin enough to shape perfectly to fit the client. They can be seen on Beyonce, Fergie, Katy Perry, Rihanna, and many more. The rings are designed by Bijules NYC, a unique and edgy jewelry company. The rings can range anywhere from $18-$160.

I Love: Derrick Rose

Two words, Derrick Rose. Need I say more. He's putting a lot of work in this season and many believe that he will be crowned MVP when everything is said and done. I ran across an interview between Rose and Ahmad Rashad and I fell deeply in love with Rose. They spoke about his mother, his recent rise to stardom in the NBA, and several other topics. During the interview Derrick seemed so humble and one thing he said really caught my attention:

"I'm putting all this time in, breaking my fingers, twisting my ankles, and why not be the best, I've sacrificed a lot of things: I've sacrificed my whole life for this game, so why not try to be the best in it."

I totally agree with Rose. If you put all your time and effort into something, then that should be all the reason you need to be the best at it.

Offical Video: Chris Brown Feat. Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne - Look At Me Now (Music Video)

Today 106 & Park premiered "Look AT Me Now" twice and I love it. I'm pretty sure it will be on the countdown tomorrow and number one by next week. #TeamBreezy

We Want Simon!

I predicted this season's viewers would drop after Simon Cowell left American Idol. According to USA Today's, Gary Levin,  last year's premiere on Jan. 12, 2010 had 29.9 million viewers and this years premiere saw a 12% decline with 26.2 million viewers. I  must say I'm one of the viewers to blame for the decline in viewers. I don't trust the critique of the Judges without Simone. Randy is still Randy, J.Lo is a more critical Paula, and Steven Tyler just has terrible judgement. With Simon gone a lot of contestants have slipped through the cracks. In all fairness I have only watched two episodes, one being the episode that aired last night. Several of the contestants had bad performances  but one performance that stuck out the most was by Naima Adedapo. She did her own rendition of Rihanna's "Umbrella' and it was too much going on. She opened the performance with a pop and lock routine and then added a little reggae twist in the middle.

It Must Be the "Tiger Blood"

If you are not up to date with Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen and his recent shenanigans, trust me when I say "You are truly missing out". Although Charlie is no stranger to the headlines due to his drug and alcohol abuse, marital problems, and allegations of domestic violence; sheen has made his way back on to our television screens.
In most recent headlines Sheen has gotten his children taken and away and on March 7, 2011 he was official fired from Two and a Half Men due to his recent behavior on public appearances. In the past week Charlie had several interviews with NBC, CBS and other networks. In his his interviews he discussed a bevy of topics including his drug abuse, rehab, and his current relationships between Bree Olson (adult entertainer) and Natalie Keenly (model) both whom Sheen refers to as his "Goddesses".
Its very hard to believe that Sheen is sober, not only because he looks physically terrible but he also he speaks as if he is invincible. He claims that he has "Tiger Blood" and with his recent twitter fame with 2 million plus followers, Sheen is #Winning. He also claims to be joyful for his release from two and a half  men and can't wait to sue warner brothers because they broke his contract. All I have to say is "Good luck Charlie" because I doubt with Sheen's recent behavior he'll be able to win this battle.
Although Sheen and his gibberish is comedic now, the reality is this story may have a tragic ending. His life is slowing unraveling in front of our eyes.

Girl Power: First Woman to Coach a Professional Men's Basketball Team

For those who may not know, I am a huge NBA fan. Recently I asked myself "Are there any women that coach a professional men's basketball team?" Within a few minutes after I asked the question, I found my answer. I ran across an interview between Cheryl Miller an Nancy Lieberman (coach of the Texas Legends). Lieberman was being interviewed about her journey on how she became the first women to coach a men's basketball team. Many would oppose the idea of a woman coaching men's basketball but her credentials are just as good as anybody else's. She has the experience as pro player, she has years of experience as a coach, she has literally played with the boys and most importantly she loves the game. This story is very inspirational and makes my love for the game of basketball even stronger. The NBA is TRULY where "Amazing Happens".
